Top Tips for Visiting Orlando with Children

With so many things to do and see, and so many people doing exactly the same as you are, you need to be well-prepared when you take your children to Orlando. Here are some valuable advice and tips that we are sure will come in handy when you are visiting Orlando with your kids.

It gets very hot

When you first arrive here, you will notice that the locals are sometime apologizing for the cold weather. Just remember that they are used to extreme heat and 21 degrees is pretty cold for the, but not us, who come from the UK. Temperatures can reach the 40’s here, so be sure to pack light, buy enough sun cream and make one of the souvenirs that you buy, a wide brimmed hat to shelter you from the harsh sun. If you are used to the weather in the UK, then you will be very familiar with the concept of cold weather, which Florida is NOT!

Book ahead of time

You will be surprised to see just how much money you will end up saving if you take the time to do some research and book online in advance. There are many specials and discounts available for many places and rides, if you book online. Many of the offers are available exclusively to people from the UK. It really does pay to be prepared in advance.

Make a plan

Before setting off for Orlando, it’s wise to craft a meticulous plan outlining the destinations you intend to explore and the activities you’re eager to partake in. This proactive approach ensures you won’t become ensnared in a singular pursuit, inadvertently missing out on other experiences that await you. Particularly, if a visit to Walt Disney World is on your agenda, consider developing a dedicated plan packed with a curated roster of activities, which might include camping in Fort Wilderness, going on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, watching the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom, and visiting the Animal Kingdom. Given the expansive nature of this place, it would be important to create a systematic plan in order to fully enjoy Walt Disney World.

Cutting queues

You really do not want to spend half your time standing in queues waiting for your turn on rides. One way to get to the front quickly is to buy a VIP pass. It will cost you around $250 per person, but it will be worth it, because you will get to see much more in the time that you have in the park than you would have if you had a regular ticket.

SeaWorld and food

If you do happen to go to SeaWorld and eat there, be very carefull what you eat. People who are allergic to fish or seafood should stick to cake and coffee, and avoid the obvious dishes, but some of the salads may make your tummy feel terrible as well. The food is good, but you need to check what ingredients have been used before you order. Rather be safe than sorry!
